STORM DAMAGED TREES & OTHER HAZARDS: We pride ourselves on our ability to remove difficult and dangerous trees that are an eyesore on your property. Hazardous Tree Removal More than 50% of our workload is the removal of dangerous, dead, or dying trees. Much of this removal can be done with our equipment and ground crew alone, and some jobs require the use of a crane. One bad tree can threaten your property value, your insurance rates, and even your life. Because of the inherent danger involved with the removal of any tree, we always take the utmost care with each piece of the tree. Our number one goal is always safety. Each job is given its own special care. We know better than most that every tree is unique. We pay special attention to jobsite cleanliness, and will leave your yard looking better than it did before, if possible.
CRANE REMOVAL: Often the safest means of removing extremely hazardous trees, is with the help of a crane. The most common question we are asked when it comes to doing crane removal is: how much will it cost? The answer is that using a crane is only slightly more expensive than removing a tree using a climber alone. This is because of the great amount of time saved when employing this technique. There are other factors to consider also. Crane removal is very safe, and allows us to remove very difficult and dangerous trees, especially ones that lean very sharply towards a home or other valuable property. The other benefit of crane removal is that the overall impact on the land around the tree is greatly reduced, as large limbs and chunks of the tree can be easily lowered by the crane and placed wherever is most convenient.
TREE TRIMMING-THINNING- DEAD WOODING: If applied properly, trimming and/or thinning your trees will give you lasting enjoyment for many years to come. Dead wooding your trees is also very important, exspecially within a residential area where someone or something could get injured or damaged by falling debrie. DEAD WOOD: This is the natural way for trees to shed the unhealthy, weak, and sometimes less dominant, limbs from the nurishment process. These such limbs will then become unsightly and sometimes dangerous to people and property.
STUMP REMOVAL: We use a machine, called a Stump Grinder that is passed back and forth over the tree stump hydraulically and slowly "grinds" away the stump inches at a time. This is done back and forth and then down until the stump is completely removed. After we complete the grinding we then move our equipment and rake all the material back into the hole and or haul off which ever you the customer perfer. Once we are done you can plant flowers, trees, add quality topsoil and seed to show off your nice new lawn. Or, we could do that for you as well. This stump process can take from minutes to hours depending on the size of the stump and its location.
We price stumps based on a few simple characteristics: The overall size of the stump. The type of tree it was. How old and rotted the stump is. Does it have any "feeder" roots? Is it accessible by our hydraulic machine? Larger jobs with multiple stumps will receive quantity discounts. We offer free quotes on any & all job inquiries.

RETAINING WALLS: Leveling the playing field in your yard Retaining walls are vertical structures that are built with the purpose of holding back soil or rocks that would otherwise slide down a hill, preventing erosion and dividing land into levels of different elevation. They are commonly found on properties that are sloped. If you own a sloped yard that isn’t conducive to daily use, a retaining wall can help transform it into level segments that are much more practical.
LAWN EDGING: Lawn Edging gives your landscape a professional, finished look. With so many options available today it can be difficult to decide what kind of edging is best for your needs and your budget. Lawn edging does more that just provide aesthetic benefits. Even though a nicely edged lawn provides a tidy, clean look to your landscape, there are other compelling reasons to install permanent edging around your lawn. Using lawn edging will help keep the mulch in your garden beds and off of your lawn. Depending on the type you choose, lawn edging can also provide a root barrier to keep grass and weeds from invading your garden beds.
We install several different types: Metal ~Plastic ~Bricks ~Pavers ~Railroad Ties~ Landscape Timbers~ Wire Fencing~ Aluminum
Considering what you want to accomplish with your edging, and the look you wish to achieve will help you and our company significantly when making a decision on what kind of edging you wish for us to install.
GARDEN PONDS: A way with water Whether it’s providing a home to fish and frogs or just acting as an accent to your yard, garden ponds are a beautiful addition to any outdoor space. The soothing sound of trickling water can make your yard a sanctuary on calm summer evenings.
GRADING: Includes rough grading & fine grading of new lots, land, or existing homes, tractor/trackhoe/bobcat work, and bush hogging.
MULCHING: Mulching enriches and protects soil, helping provide a better growing environment. In Your Backyard Mulching is one of the simplest and most beneficial practices you can use in the garden. Mulch is simply a protective layer of a material that is spread on top of the soil. Mulches can either be organic -- such as grass clippings, straw, bark chips, and similar materials -- or inorganic -- such as stones, brick chips, and plastic. Both organic and inorganic mulches have numerous benefits. Mulch: Protects the soil from erosion- Reduces compaction from the impact of heavy rains- Conserves moisture, reducing the need for frequent waterings- Maintains a more even soil temperature- Prevents weed growth- Keeps fruits and vegetables clean -Keeps feet clean, allowing access to garden even when damp- Provides a "finished" look to any garden. Organic Mulches: also improve the condition of the soil. As these mulches slowly decompose, they provide organic matter which helps keep the soil loose. This improves root growth, increases the infiltration of water, and also improves the water-holding capacity of the soil. Organic matter is a source of plant nutrients and provides an ideal environment for earthworms and other beneficial soil organisms.
While inorganic mulches have their place in certain landscapes, they lack the soil improving properties of organic mulches. Inorganic mulches, because of their permanence, may be difficult for you to remove if you decide to change your garden plans at a later date. However, with our company a phone call away we can help if change ever needs to occur. It's all about peoples perference~likes & dislikes.
GUTTER DRAINS: We can also help with keeping ~ Drain water away from your foundation! Under ground gutter drains keep roof water away from your foundation! Proper water management around the foundation of your home can be very effective at keeping the water from reaching your basement. Back fill any low areas, and slope the ground away from the foundation. The most serious problem with guttering is downspouts that discharge the water right next to the foundation! Or, not replacing old and damaged drain lines over a period of time.
LAWN & PASTURE ACREAGE CARE: Some lawns & pastures are started from scratch, like a new home just completed with no lawn at all. Some are existing lawns & pastures that are in need of renovation. Some people have nice lawns & pastures right now but just want to keep it that way. Regardless of where you are we can help you get what you're looking to achieve.
SEEDING: Depending on the situation you are in your method of seeding will change. For new lawns or pasture land with no grass just a lot of dirt or mud, the grade work must be done first. Our grade work is done with a tractor and box blade or a tiller and rake. Once the grading is complete and we're happy with the surface as far as smoothness, holes or low spots, drainage taken care of, etc. then we're ready for the seeding process. The soil must be prepared to make a good seed bed. Good seed to soil contact is important for good germination. After the soil is prepared we'll apply the seed with a type of spreader, this gives good coverage of the seed and uniform germination over the selected areas. The required amount of seed will be determined by the type of seed we use.
Seed can be distributed in several different type machines that will power seed the area. One machine has several terms, "power seeder", "no till drill seeder" are the most common. This machine has a hopper you pour the selected seed into, the machine will cut grooves in the lawn or pasture land and drop seed into them in one pass. This type machine does a very good job on areas that are fairly level. If the lawn or pasture land has pot holes and roots everywhere the cutters won't make contact with the ground leaving spots not seeded. Another way of seeding is to Hydroseed. Hydroseeding is a method used to renovate lawns or pasture land establish from scratch. On areas that needs thickened up, the mixture of Seed, Fertilizer, and a mulch material made from recycled wood or paper products is sprayed on the lawn. The mixture is dyed blue or green to help see where we've sprayed it, this will turn white in a few days. The benefits of Hydroseeding are quicker germination and usually thicker germination since the seed is soaking in water as it's being done. It is one of the more expensive forms of seeding. A less expensive way to renovate an area is to use a Dethatcher. The Dethatcher will remove thatch and other material from the surface of the area while scratching the surface up enough to provide good seed to soil contact that is essential in germination. One of the drawbacks is that the machine will sometimes bring so much material up that you have to rake it up and haul it away, it can be allot depending upon the areas in question.
SODDING: Sodding is also another way & the quickest way to instant grass. There is nothing quite like having dirt one day and lush green grass the next. Of course it is 3 to 4 times as expensive as seeding. Proper preparation of the area is important again to get the sod started off right, fertilizing before or after the sod is laid is needed as well as proper watering after the sod is down. Whatever method you use, it will give you a greener look on life!
FERTILIZING: Without fertilizer most turfgrasses will struggle to maintain vigor and color. Fertilizing increases growth, color, vigor, hardiness, thickens the grass and is the mainstay of having a rich dark lawn or pasture. While Fertilizing alone will not provide a perfect lawn or pasture, it is one of the 5 most important parts of lawn care.
Fertilizer has three main elements. Nitrogen, (the first number) Phosphate, (the middle number) and Potash (the last number). Each element has a particular purpose. Key Benefits: Provides dark green rich turf color ~Keeps grass healthy~ Keeps grass thick helping to keep weeds out.
FENCING: Fences can perform many functions. They can provide privacy from passersby, create a barrier to keep pets or small children within sight, or simply be an accent to your property. Whatever the case maybe, we can also help with this..........Remember, "If It's Outside ~ We Do It!"
